Colleen Froehlicher, director of Kindermusik By Colleen, is a licensed Kindermusik instructor. She obtained a degree in Vocal Performance at
Illinois State University and has performed extensively throughout the Chicago area as a member of the Apollo Chorus of Chicago and as a soloist.
Colleen has spent much of the past 18 years working with children as Children's Choir Director at various churches. She also operated a successful
daycare business from her home for 5 years.
Most recently, Colleen was recognized by Kindermusik International as one of the Top 25 Instructors for 2001 and has achieved Maestro Status within the company. Maesto status
is a recognition for being one of the best teachers and an achievement which allows Colleen to mentor new teachers on the building and growth of their independent Kindermusik businesses.
Colleen also has been in demand as an expert speaker on the subject Music and the Development of the Brain, lecturing at the College of Lake County
High School, the YWCA Childcare Resource and Referral Spring and Fall Conferences, and various pre-school teacher in-service programs. Her Kindermusik program was featured in the
Lake County Daily Herald's Neighbor section in September, 2000.
Colleen is actively pursuing additional certification and professional designations through Kindermusik International in an effort to provide the most educational and enjoyable classes

Music and children go hand-in-hand for Jennifer Steeber. After receiving her Bachelors Degree in
Music from the University of Wisconsin, Jennifer went on to teach in the school system for several years before choosing to become
a stay-at-home mother.
