Young Child helps every child develop a confident, joyful voice for singing and speaking as well as essential
building blocks for a future of learning. Young Child is the bridge between the music play of early childhood and
the more formal musical experiences of the middle childhood years.
 You'll love Young Child because it allows children to learn by doing - through singing, listening, movement,
and ensemble instrument play - without the pressure of performance. Through the two-year program we will explore the glockenspiel,
two-string dulcimer, and recorder and give the children the opportunity to learn simple melodies and
accompaniments. Through activities and games we will begin "reading" and "writing" music and reinforce musical concepts using manipulatives for fine motor skill development.
